  • Good hardware store near Dallas?

Is there a hardware store around Dallas that would have metric studs? I need some 8mm studs in different length and will be in that area today.

Turner in Carrollton or Elliots in plano, or Fastenal (check for on near you)

Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.

Elliotts on Maple has been long gone for a couple of years now. What was the best hardware store in Dallas has moved down a couple of blocks west on Denton Drive. http://www.yelp.com/biz/elliotts-hardware-dallas
It's nothing like the old Elliotts. It is barely bigger than your average 7-11. All the good hardware is gone. No more chrome, stainless, grade 8 etc nuts and bolts are gone. Home Depot is better now. But I have found out in Coppell the Ace hard ware at 465 S Denton Tap Rd, Coppell, TX 75019

Is real good. All the nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc and real people to help.

Is there still such a thing? The only real auto store in left in Irving were I am is Max Longs place, Warehouse Auto. All others are are useless to me has they don't speak American and sell nothing made in America.

The new Elliot's store by Love Field has stainless hardware but you are right; all their square footage is gone along with a large portion of their inventory and products.
