I'm considering a Branson 5220 right now... Is there something I should aware of? How big (HP?)was yours and what broke moving a roll of hay?

Well, just checked. Looks like there is some money if you are in the right county..
TERP works hard to cut NOx emissions that affect the air of our great state. By upgrading your vehicles and equipment and discarding the older models, you are helping to sustain Texas for the years ahead.

I screwed myself when we bought our last tractor. TERP money came out about 4 weeks later. I could have saved a ton...
You're not buying it personally, are you?

              Not Chinese... but Korean.

Branson is a trade name for compact tractors built by the Kukje Machinery Company of South Korea. Kukje has been building agricultural machinery since 1968, and has supplied components for Yanmar, John Deere and engines for Cummins.

My buddy has one for sale that I'm considering if I can get his price adjusted slightly.

If I was looking to get a hay bale mover I would be looking at a 1066 or a 4020 JD and put a 40 series front end under it. You can get into either of those for under $15000 and parts are everywhere for them. They are old but my family farm has a couple 4020's that will not die. They are better than the energizer bunny.

Yup, My 4020 is the work horse of my farm.

I pick up 3 1200 pound bales at once with mine. Two from the three point, and one with a front end loader.

parts are still everywhere, but the newer stuff is well newer.

we use to plant cotton with ours. an 8 row 40" IH air planter. it was a little nose light but as long as you weren't silly it was ok. parts are very cheap and plentiful for them plus there are tons of upgrades.

We just bought a Kioti 60hp with cab and 4wheel drive and a loader for 30k It came with a 5 year warranty. It's a very heavy built tractor. The big threes new tractors under 80hp are all made overseas. In fact the Ford/NH and the Case IH are make in the same factory. John Deere isn't far away. Kubota is the only one that makes their own small tractors and it is 40k for the same tractor as the one that we bought. I just sold my Kubota L5030hstc 4 wheel drive with a cab and hydrostat. It is a 53hp tractor on the small frame, 6 ft box and bucket. The problem with the new tractor is that it takes a big goose neck trailer to haul it with the 12ft Rhino bat wing. I could pull my 5030 and 8ft Rhino with a 24ft bumper pull.

You could buy a nice used 5030 for what you are wanting to spend.
