  • 95 gt bogging down

95 gt sat for a while. Put battery in and started it up this weekend seemed to be fine. Today actually drove around a bit. Found some dryer road decided to punch it and it just fell on its face. Didn't die or anything but I could hold the pedal to the floor and it lost rpms. Heard what I thought was backfire. I put a new fuel filter in before I started it.

Brought It home and cleaned maf let it sit for 45 minutes. Started it up and reved the crap out of it several times. Fast, slow, from 3k to rdline, from idle to rdline seemed to be fine. Thought prob. Solved. About 2 hours later I decided to take for a ride. Left my community in 2nd and punched it. Seemed to fine no hesitating no falling. Couple miles down the rd decided to give it another wrap on the pedal and it gave up again just like first time.

Sorry for the long winded post but wanted to explain the issue. Any suggestion will be apprciated.

      Gt

That is what I wanted to hear. I had an issue with the sensor in the dizzy (pip sensor maybe) many years ago on a different 95 gt but it would just cut off until it cooled. Any other suggestions on distributors not sur I'm gonna keep this car and msd are expensive.

drain the tank and fill it back up? How old is the filter? How long is a while of sitting? Have a fuel pressure gauge? Regulator could be bad, have seen them rusty/broken springs cause intermittent issues.

Do you hear any change in idle after you romp on it? I'm putting my money on O2 sensors.
