I must have a few to many keys on my key chain

I was getting on the highway and just hit 4th gear when everything cut off and the engine died, this fell loose. So I rigged it up and drove home.

Has nothing to do with your keys.

Has everything to do with being a POS old fox body. Just about all of them have had an ignition switch failure. Time to replace it.

Yea I have been told they fail a lot, is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again? Or will I have to replace this every few years

I'm pretty sure the replacements fix it for good. Then again, they haven't had 25+ years of foxbody level rape.
