Lock Replacement

Got a budy that had someone try to break into his 08 f150 . Is it possible to get a replacement door lock cylinder without replacing both doors and the ignition ? I told him I didn't think you could get one to match but he could replace that one and have 2 keys . Any imput guys ?

So they just jacked up that door cylinder? He still had all his keys in his possession? I’m pretty sure he can get a new cylinder keyed to what’s on the rest of the truck. Some lock smiths can do it, or there are some mobile units that deal specifically with auto key cylinder/ignition issues. I don’t know of any off hand so hopefully someone else will chime in.

Yea they tried to pop the cylinder out I guess . The other door and ignition are fine . I told him worst case he could pull the one from the passenger side and use it on the driver since it gets used most but he wants it to be fixed right .

Take it by, they can either repair whats there or replace and rekey lock cyl to your key.
But sometimes on those it breaks the door handle housing you may need to buy a new handle if its broke they will have to look.

They can also come out. Of course its cheaper to go there.
