If it's black on black I'm interested, I like my cars like I like my crime.

Keep in mind, foxbodys are getting old. Almost all weatherstripping needs to be replaced, door, pins, struts, balljoints etc.

They still have shit brakes and 4 lug.

Unless you love foxbodys and are willing to invest another 3-5 grand to get it "nice" go another direction.

They are cheap to fix up "with used parts" but They are holding value now days.

The brakes, A/C, Radio etc are better on the 99 up.

Plan to add a used supercharger & clutch though if you want any power.
          One day at a time.

This. Go with a Mach juan! My '05 GT vert was such a turd...I was expecting much more. 'Twas a chick car.

                S197 era

Are actually badass cars. If that is out of your price range then go down to early 90 fox LX. Just sucks when you are basing 225hp when the s197 are bone stock 300. Gives a big advantage without a custom motor.

Depends on whether you want the "newer car" feel, or free money for "go fast." At 10k+ the s197s are over 3x what you can buy a 04 or earlier GT for...

I have always liked the mod motors. they are kinda a pain in the ass to work on. but they sound badass. IMO. but I loved the all mighty 5.0 (you cant kill them). you can get one for 5000 that makes 300+ rwhp, and that's is clean. the 5.0 have the screaming hotrod, I love it. that is a hard one to choose. I would pick the cleanest one that has not been ragged on. if I was you and you wanted a mod motor I would get a 4v. that's just me. good luck! I say that white sn95 cobra that is in the classifieds. is clean, and probably all stock

+1... s197 GT's are easily better to have than the new edge 2v! Mod for Mod and they ride better and the tranny is much more refined ( better ).
