Battery light is on/off intermentant

Dashboard says "Check Charging System" when the light is on, but it clears itself few seconds later. ODB2 reader show no faults current, historic or pending. Torque showed no dip or spike in voltage when the light activated. One of these things is lying to me.


I suspect the alternator or battery, but the lack of codes is confusing to me. How can the light be on and the ECU have no codes?

1st thing I would do is go over the battery connections & if it still continues I would pull the battery & Alt & go get both tested

the most simple test is a multimeter
