Paint shop recommendation?

Am finishing up my 70 Mach1 and need some help. I have a repo hood and decklid I need painted to match the car. I have had great luck with Clark Bros but they are getting away from custom paint matching since they have gone to all water borne products. Car is supposed to be the factory medium bright blue metallic. Prefer south side of town.

That is funny but if he does good work and price isnt too bad, I'd consider it. Clark Bros did a great job on the Cuda and was disappointed they couldnt help me.

Think Shaggin wagon here on the boards can help you out? He did Jeff's car a couple times and I don't think by the pictures you could tell a difference, and his is mystichrome.

My experience is water dead panels just as good.

A good friend of mine owns Linear Automotive in Plano. I know you said you prefer "south side of town" but they do very top notch work.

It will match very close to the same as solvent (They say water colors are brighter/cleaner) but it's just a pain in the ass to get it there. You have to do a sprayout for every change you make. With solvent you can tint your color, stir it and check it to your sample on the stir stick and not have to do a sprayout until you get it very close. The water dries a different color than it looks wet, think latex house paint.

op, I can do your hood no problem but I am in Rockwall.
