You can drop the motor back in with the longtubes attached. They will fit fine. I did this on my '92. I dropped the engine/trans/BBK longtubes all in together.

Otherwise, if you are removing longtubes with the engine in the car then you have to remove motor mount nuts and jack up the engine slightly.
