  • Coverting a 90 LX to a GT

What up peeps. gonna make this quick and simple.

I bought a stang, and I am converting a LX to a GT with a 302 motor. What i had in there was a carb 351w on points with a cut up wire harness under the hood. The computer was removed, and i am starting the process to convert now to fuel injected. I have never done a convert like this, so I know that i need a computer, new wire harness, and the injector harnesss.

I have never had to replace to wire harness before, what is the process for this? In the passenger side kick panel, there are still the plugs for the old computer, will this need to be remove to install the new harness?

Again, i have never replaced the wire harness and ready to do so now.

I think you should have just picked up a GT for 4 grand and called it a day.

I've heard of stripping a GT down to an lx but not vice versa.

Blue thanks for the link on the harness and competer, but if i am not mistaken that 89 and 90 harness are differnet since the airbags are in the 90 i have. Also Blue, that motor lost compression in one of pistons which is why the owner sold the car. It is carbed with a carter card on it.
