Can you provide details on price and vendor you got it from?

I have been considering an aluminum 4.8L for my daily driver Miata.

A couple reasons. Firstly I was looking for a clean, new, low mileage motor. For the money the 4.8 was it. The 2007 up 4.8 comes with stronger rods and makes almost the same power as the last gen 5.3 (295-305). It has perfect compression for boost as well.

All the 4.8/5.3's went aluminum blocks in 2010 or 2011 I think, just gotta search. They are more $$$, but usually lower miles.

That one does look clean. Its nice they took the time to pull the harness for you.

The LC9 (aluminum 5.3) is in some of the 08-09 trucks as well.

Can I get that info as well? Thinking about taking the 455 out of my car and am curious what something like this actually costs.

I would never do that to a Cobra..or any mustang! But good luck!

I was trying to stick to the golden rule of never posting what you pay, but I've gotten 10pm's already so I'll just post it. $1200+250 freight to my door

I never thought I would either. But it is the smartest option. See what kind of mustang/cobra motor you can find for $1200. Most likely a mark 8 motor with 190k on it that will last 2wks with 10lbs of boost. This way I've got a low mileage motor that will hold up under boost with very little mods. and get 25mpg highway

Did you think of resale value? Not many want a 4.8 swapped Mustang

                              it will have turboz though!!!

I let this car go once and was lucky enough to get it back. It definetly will not go anywhere again.

Will you have to remove any of the AFM/DOD parts before you boost it?
