  • 351w Head selection

Hey guys i thought id ask about what heads to run on my 351w im gonna be putting together.

Its a balanced .40 over roller 351w with flat top Probe pistons. Has a lunati .544/.560 cam in it right now i believe which i believe is more of a nitrous cam ive read. Considering running something else there aswell if need be.

Not planning on juicing it or running boost on this build but would like to get some decent compression with staying on pump gas.

This will be a street car, probably wont ever see the track except to play maybe. Planning on 3.73 gears and maybe a 6 speed at some point which then id probably go with 4.10s depending on how it runs.

I also would like more top end power, i dont see the point in having a buncha low end power just to blow the tires off only to run out of power at higher RPM. But i dont want it to be gutless so def looking for a middle ground there.

I was looking at maybe the Victor Jr 60cc but not sure on intake runner volume? Maybe some Trick flows but not sure of they will work since i dont have the twisted wedge pistons.

Opinions? Thanks ahead of time fellas.

My vic jr's ran great on my 351W, AFR 205's would have probably run even better, since you are stuck with a conv located valve I'd lean AFR 205, maybe a TEA Trickflow high port.

I've got these with upgraded valve springs, zero miles they have only been bolted to an engine.

The valve springs were done by Jim at FordStrokers.
