  • Calling Fox Body Wiring Gurus

I need some help hooking up some electrical in the engine bay of my '90 LX. Also, wiring up ignition toggle switches and push button start instead of the stock ignition switch. No key.

    Thanks,

I reworked my whole engine wire harness. And plan to do the same thing with ignition.

I am a fan of reworking "spare" harnesses. You can find them cheap on Ebay nowadays.

For the push to start, I am a fan of the Painless kit. Simple and easy to use. I found my actual button at Summit. If you find my "what I have been working on thread" you will see pictures of it and the Painless relay. The relay has a bracket with a small push button on it also. Great for bumping the car over or starting it from under the hood.

The button I used for inside the car fits perfectly in the cig lighter opening in the center console.

          Parts I used.

Yes, the button is expensive but it is well built and a fit for the application.
