  • 302 engine oil recommendation

I love me some motorcraft. So that being said, what weight shall j use? Its a stock 302 carbed 4br engine with exhaust. That's it. I use motorcraff 5w30 in my 180k 4.6 97 f150 and 99 5.0 explorer. Should I continue using the MC 5w30, or MC 5w30 plus 1qt Lucas Oil stabilized, or go with a thicker oil (5w40?). Thanks.

                  tanner.

if you gunna run dyno oil. order Valvoline VR-1 racing oil 10w30 from orielys. its the best and still has zinc I believe too. they have the 20w50 in stock but will order the other at least they always did for me and it cost the same.

synthetics are debatable, but just stay away from RP. that shit is gross.

Thanks Baron . Taste great less filling I always say .

Tanner can use anything in that motor . It's a low mile stock roller HO with no cats so dino or syn will be fine . He knows what I would run (around in circles) .

I was thinking when I read the OP, its a roller cam 302, you can put vegie oil in there and be ok.
