  • Different headers for Glide?

Do you have to use different headers to install a glide?
This is on a 351w that has a c4 on it already....

Basically I want to pull my C4 off of my 418 and put my Powerglide in it. this is in a 1992 Coupe. I currently have BBK 351W swap headers on it now.

Glides are pretty wide, I have a BBF, went from the C6 to the glide, and the headers hit the pan. If your headers tuck in, like some of my old ones do, they may not work.

It all comes down to what bellhousing you have... A 157 will fit.. A 164 will also work.. but, may require some massaging

Seems like I remember the pan on the glide ofset to the driver side. I had to cut off the collector on my driver header and weld it back on at an angle. Then bought kooks and they fit great.
