  • Could use some transmission advice

How strong is the Lentech strip terminator AOD? Real world, not some BS internet 1500hp rating. Will this thing hold up to 800rwhp without blowing up all the damn time?

lentech has been around a while, but they aren't doing anything special. It can be done locally.

It will need to be gone through on occasion at 800 rwhp.

I know a guy with a 6.0 1/8 mile car with AC that runs a similar aod, not lentech, but the valve body, a couple of other parts, and good convertor.

I was told the same thing about some other OD transmissions that failed miserably as well. But the Rossler unit took more of a beating. Thanks though, will give him a call to see what he thinks

occasional maintenance doesn't bother me. Looks like I might be better off with a 4L80 or a 6 spd

do you want a transbrake unit or no? I ran a transbraked unit which is harder on a lot of things in an app like this. I have used aodes in up to 950hp apps...
