  • Racing stick shift options.

I was wanting to know everyone's input on which transmission would be the better option for drag racing.

Looking for something that can hold around 600trq or more in a 2800lb car with a 10.5 or smaller tire.

    Tko 600?
GeForce built t5? < which gear ratios?
    T56 magnum?

The idea/plan is a dart shp 363 w/ big heads and cam ~500 n/a with some type of power adder in mind.

Makes gears sets engage like a motorcycle would, the harder you shift it the better it works.

I'd do a face plated TKO600 with 5th gear delete unless its a street car then keep the 5th gears and keep them synchronized.

I have the old school TKO 26 spline Trans. Its behind a 393 with D1sc and a 125 shot For 2 years and behind my 302 for 5-7 years before that. My 95 weighs around 3600 with me in it and I havent broke it yet. Broke a couple clutch setups and carriers in the rear end but not the trans yet. If it ever brakes Ill put a glide in it.

Dog box or face plate won't make for a great street setup?

I would do a TR6060/T56 magnum. I've had great luck with that setup in my Viper.
