Supercharger water pump?

I have an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger going on my F150 do to the Afco Gt 500 intercooler Ive fitted between the frame rails the original mounting location for the water pump no longer works. Can you mount the pumps vertically with out causing any problems?

Does your look like the one in this kit? The only issue I could see is if there are no thrust bearings inside the assembly the bearings may not be able to take the side-loading you would get from gravity pulling the parts down. This would probably be minimal and not an issue though. I would try it if it made the install easier/reduced the number of parts/joints substantially than a re-route to maintain the orientation.

Same pump. I'm doing the cam install today and hopefully the supercharger tomorrow
