  • Back in an SN95 AUTO!!!

Its been a while since I posted something on here, but I just got back into a mustang again, its a 1998 mustang gt, all stock, I've always gone aftermarket on wheels but this time just gonna clean up the stock 17s and put bigger tires on the back, is there a spacer they sell to get the rear offset to stick out more, I know they sell the cheapies at vatozone and don't want to use that, a one to one and a half spacer is pretty big so want something that wont mess up due to daily driving, I know the studs will have to be longer, if anyone has done this please let me know. thanks guys!

let me learn how to post pics here in a min, and yes my punctuation may be off a little (lots) but keep in mind I'm just a simple mechanic, I rarely write anymore so I hope you guys can correct me when I'm wrong. Yes the car is extremely slow! I wont attempt to race a prius right now, its ungodly slow, but looks like a flash back in time, bone stock like my 96 when i was 18, 13 years ago so I've never been happier in a mustang, shit some nights I'm driving it home listening to Metallica and I forget how old I really am!

I found these spacers, first upgrade to come on the stock car! Plans to keep it as stock looking as possible. Down to the radio! (stock looking, still gonna upgrade some stuff to the 21st century

You should try to buy a Mustang that isn't a 96-98 next time. You will be much happier.

                  I have, I owned a few, 1968, 1986, 1991, 1993, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2005 and this 1998 all V8 cars, i will own a 2013 car but not at those price tags, maybe in 10 years

the SN-95 is by far my favorite and want a daily driver, I would feel bad buying a super clean Cobra and daily driving it, this GT was extremely clean and it wont hurt me to do a pi swap, cams and kinda tear it up, doing that to a Cobra (no PI swap, but you get what I'm saying) would break my heart, and I didnt want a old 5.0 for some reason, it was a well thought out decision. I found the spacers i will be using, planning on doing this, lowering 1.5", thicker sway bars, and exhaust. PI swap will be next year due to Christmas being around the corner

You should have bought my cobra. It's nowhere near pristine, but in good enough shape to daily. We need pics of this 98.

thanks! going to do headlight swap to cobra (leaving amber coners) and buffing paint this week, have a buddy that owns a paint shop, he said he would take out any dings we can find on it. Hopefully before christmas ill do all the suspension work! engine would be the last upgrades in the spring, 140k on the clock but you couldnt tell, looks more like a 30k car
