  • Spark plug gap.

Going to do a compression test today and was going to regap the plugs. I have them at 45 now, using an autolite 2924.

Hopefully it has good compression on all cylinders.

Oem calls for .055 gap, I'm not oem at all anymore so what should I put them at?

    Stock ignition system.

Lol. Forgot to add the question.

Pulled #2 plug, which was carbon fouled last plug change, a month ago. It it was fouled again, I cleaned it and threw it back in.

It looked like trash coming from the rings.

I don't know what you have but if you're far from stock as you say I'm guessing bigger cam, maybe upgraded fuel system? If so and you're trying to use stock ignition then yes your plugs are going to look like shit. Get some sort of msd system, gap the plugs at .035 and they should clean up, if your spraying then tighten the gap up to .030 or .025 depending which ignition system you choose.

I told you to put an MSD box on it several months ago. Run your gap at .035 with the msd and it should be fine for motor and any kind of nos shot that you will run. I don't see you going over 175hp. You will need a colder plug depending on how much n2o you use.

Plug gap depends on a huge amount of stuff.
                      Some cars and a bike...

Some say... they have been raced, some a lot
