distilled water + water wetter is great if you wont ever see freezing temps but offers less corrosion protection.
a 33/66 antifreeze to water ratio is reportedly good to 0*Fwww.hppmotorsports.com

Went with water wetter, and 1/3 coolant and 2/3 water. So far it is a little better, coolant staying around 200. Now I need to get it on a dyno to see what the a/f is doing I suspect it is a little lean. In the future I might look into a high flow water pump, probably just modify the one I already have. I had one of those years ago and it helped brings temps down a little more.
Thanks for all teh advice.

Beside the standard stuff mentioned in this thread there are some things that are lesser known that can contribute a little bit to elevated coolant temps.
Not much need to run a thermostat in the Texas summer.
Might even eliminate an issue caused by it.
Is the timing where you want it?
Might be running a touch lean and too much advance in these summer temps.
Next plug change for the summer, run a hotter plug.
Colder plugs move more combustion temps to the cylinder head.
Are you running enough oil in the pan?
Not enough oil can also raise engine temps.Jay Johnson
