Good source for all sorts of parts.. Not always the cheapest, but often. Get on their mailing list and they will send you updated catalogs a couple times a year.

I'd like a NBS with one.

There's one detailed on Expedition Portal that I was just reading the other night..

      Found it:

I look at this site every day, but rarely ever post. I have gained a great deal of knowledge from everyone here so I thought I would return the favor and try to give something back to the forum. I have an 2006 2500 Suburban with the 6.0 and I have grown seriously tired of the terrible fuel...

I'm not a big fan of the lift he has, but like the idea.. Spent an assload on it though.

            THIS.....

and while I hate all the different abbreviations used on those forums, it seems to work as there's been 2 different body changes since mine was new

I really wanted to get a '91 suburban (the real "old body style" IMO) for a kid/toy hauler but this one was too cheap to pass up

Only thing I've done to it so far is wash it and Plasti-dipped the fender flares. It's already got a glasspack and a cheesy bow-tie exhaust tip which I'll be getting rid of promptly.

Reading on some chevy forums and most recommend headers, a cold air intake and a tune to help pick up a couple MPGs but honestly I don't see it being worth the trouble and cost unless I can pick up some used parts on the cheap

                Marcus,

You been using this big red pig much??? I picked up a 96 4dr Tahoe 4x4 this week for about the same intended use. Makes me miss that 97 Green Z71 I had in highschool.

The one I had used the thermal actuator, basically a 12 volt heater that vaporized alcohol and using that pressure to pushed out a steel piece that activated the front axle. The wires had come off mine inside the cover, if that's the case on yours, ohm it out and see, it may just need to be resoldered. Mine was at the deer lease, I took the actuator apart found that a 30/06 shell fit the actuator good, drilled it cross ways to hold it in place and put it back in. the 4 wheel drive still disengages through the transfer case. I don't really know why chevy put the thermal actuator on it.

just sold it last week actually. Didn't really want to sell it but didn't really need it either. Plus made a little money on it. It was a fun truck. I'd like to get another one later on when i have the money to fix it up. It was an awesome kid hauler
