The brake switch isn't being pressed. It's been keeping the lights on. I put three pennies in between the switch and the bracket, lights turn off. Is there supposed to be something in the opening of the bracket?

The switch would go right though the opening of the bracket. There's no budge on the bracket. I had the same issue with my clutch switch relay but I replaced it and bent that bracket down. I'm reading about the bracket having a stopper??Originally posted by talismanI wonder if there will be a new character that specializes in bjj and passive agressive comebacks?Originally posted by AdamLXIf there was, I wouldn't pick it because it would probably just keep leaving the game and then coming back like nothing happened.Originally posted by BroncojohnnyBecause fuck you, that's whyOriginally posted by 80coupenice dick, Idrivea4bangerOriginally posted by Rick Modena......and idrivea4banger is a real person.Originally posted by JesterMan ive always wanted to smoke a bowl with you. Give me a year.
Look on your floor. If it happened recently you should see peices of in there.
Shouldn't be more than a couple buck from Nissan.
I had to order some from Honda for my 99 recently. Was like 1.80 or something.
Or just smooth off the top of a bolt and throw a nut on it. I've done that too. Just make sure it's not out of adjustment and keeps pressure on the brakes.
Or duct tape and those pennies you mentioned.Non tapatalk Sig so the butt hurt va-JJs can stop crying about not being able to turn it off.

95 Nissan. I did find some broken plastic and now that you've mentioned it its probably what broke off the bracket. Stupid vatozone doesn't carry it, they had no clue what I was talking about. I guess the dealership will be my next stop. I don't want to rig up anything.Originally posted by talismanI wonder if there will be a new character that specializes in bjj and passive agressive comebacks?Originally posted by AdamLXIf there was, I wouldn't pick it because it would probably just keep leaving the game and then coming back like nothing happened.Originally posted by BroncojohnnyBecause fuck you, that's whyOriginally posted by 80coupenice dick, Idrivea4bangerOriginally posted by Rick Modena......and idrivea4banger is a real person.Originally posted by JesterMan ive always wanted to smoke a bowl with you. imports are bad about this, they have a little rubber (or it used to be before it turned into a hardened piece of brittle plastic) button that hits the brake switch, clutch switch, cruise cancel switch, etc. Easy fix is to take a standard 1\4" bolt or metric 6mm bolt (usually has a 10mm head) and put the bolt side against the brake switch button and nut the back side. I've fixed many a car that way.
