just buy the upr 4.6->lsx swap mounts, flip some truck manifolds and weld the incredibly simple hot side (literally just a u bend out of the manifold to each turbo with a gate hanging off each side), put together a cold side or run it on e85 and just dump the turbos into the intake, get with me and i'll walk you through the wiring, bolt a decent trans to it and have a driveshaft made if you cant find a stock unit that is the right length. you'll need a fuel system, but even that can be done pretty cheaply, buy some SD 80lb injectors on ebay for ~350, a a1000 regulator, pump you have a few choices, and run some s.s. or pushlok hose.

if you go twins you'll need a 2 turbos (t4's, 67-76mm, somewhere around .75ar should work good), , 2 38mm gates, 1 50mm bov, an intercooler if on gas, preferably a meth kit if on gas, 3 bar map (~$40) and a tune.

if you run single i'd go with the s480 t6 with the smaller exhaust housing, a single 60mm gate, and the rest of the stuff is the same.

if you are smart you can do this cheaply.

I wonder if we can squeeze all that in the e36?

Yes, it's been done and I'll be attempting it as well.

For what custom headers cost, you could nearly cover ebay turbos and fuel system.

Yesir, flipped truck manifolds work with some grinding and innovation.
Bullseye s380 and a lot of ebay parts is what I'm doing.

correct.. guess it can be 6 of one, half dozen of the other between the two choices.

lsx with mounts and the clearance between the strut towers would be easy to flip and run pipes.

good starter package is just shy of $1600.00 for a single turbo kit minus hot pipes.. http://ltptuning.com/index.php?route...product_id=142

Jay at HPP can be your idol for info with the coupe he drives. assuming he still has it.

I have a '05 4.8, '02 lm4 5.3, and the upr lsx mounts if you decide to go that way.

Cool. It is going to be a few months before I can start putting money into it. Paying for the car itself is going to drain my fun money for a while. Ls looks to be the winner.

Ls should have been a no brainer
