That's a good tire size to have at our power level. I've thought of buying the 8 or 8.5 for my car. I don't need a 10 inch tire. Trap higher with smaller tires..

I've got no problem with the tire size, but putting it on a 10" wheel, if you can even get it to seat, will defeat the purpose of a soft sidewall. With a 26" tire there won't be much sidewall to stretch and not much more to give when launching I wouldn't think.

The hoosiers im looking at are supposed to be stiff.

Look into outlaw 8.5. After doing some more research a lot of guys are running 8.5's on a 10" rim. The 8.5 has been 4.xx as well. Way faster than i'll ever see

If you restricted by class rules then yeah, a 10" wheel will give you a bit more contact patch than a 8" wheel.

Also where do you get them mounted and balanced? I've been going to Briscoe in denton. Super cheap. About to have to get the Skinnies and slicks put on next week.

Theyre drag lites. I think 6.75 b.s. but not 100%. I didnt have the tires that are on the wheels put on, I bought them used from a board member several years ago. As for mounting the new tires I dont know where im gonna go yet
