  • No heat, need opinions.

I have a 94 dodge 2500 and the system blows(not strong) and the ac works. No heat what so ever. Could it be anything else besides a heater core? TIA.

Put your hands on the heater hoses. is one hot? Note engine at operating temp.

the temperature blend door is a 'flap' that opens up the tunnel where the heater core is located so that hot air can blow through the system. very common for them to break where it connects to the door actuator leaving it inoperable.

if you have a chance stop bye the shop and we can check to see what the problem is...we've hepled out a couple of members with similar problems lately..

Mine is a 90 ford but I had the same issue and just had to adjust the cable that goes to the blend door.

Well forget me working on it, much less see anything. I would have to take the whole dash out to see the complete unit. All I could see was the bottom of the unit.

                  heater issue

dodges are notorious for heater cores clogging up....if both heater hoses are hot,its the blend door not operating....if one hose is hot and the other is cold, heater core is blocked...seen 100's of clogged heater cores
