I have had great success with the djm rear flip kit stuff I've put in. It's mainly been late model dodges I've done for whatever reason. I didn't have to bother with a c notch because it was a 4 inch drop in the rear (flip kit and adjustable shackles to raises the rear back up). Several companies make bolt in c notches but I'd recommend welding the seams anyway.

Guess ill finally put a build thread up for this truck. Truck is from lousiana, was already bagged and stock floored and its in a for a complete new frame.

C notches are pretty straight forward if he gets a bolt on notch, but if he plans to bag it in the future a step notch would be best now while he is under there IMO.
