  • May need a machine shop near Denton

So I was going to install the heads in my new motor flipped em over and this is what I saw.

You can't feel it but it's clearly there. Should I bother having it machined off if it's so miniscule you can't feel it? The motor is going to have a t76 running 6-8lbs boost on it.

And if you think I should get them worked on can someone recommend a good shop in Denton area.

I wouldn't worry about it, IMO. I'm an NA guy though, so I'd defer final judgement until one of the guys that deals with boost regularly chimes in.

If you can't feel it, I'd personally clean up the entire surface with a scotch-brite pad and see how it looks then. I usually use the brown 2" pads for stuff like this on my 90-degree air grinder.

I'm no Brooks, but I've messed with boost a bit and I think you'll be fine after you clean that up yourself.
