I need axles anyways. I'm hoping 28xx race weight saves them for a while.

Drag race suspension is horrible when you start turning the wheel. I've got a slew of Maximum Motorsports parts on my car and I dig 'em.

My maiden voyage to the track last weekend with the '12 netted some 1.67 60's on a 19" MT DR. I was pretty impressed considering there's still some room for improvement with some more fine tuning.

Turing will suck and driving on highway....but if its not your daily I'd go with 90/10's and 50/50 Lakewoods/Upper lower C/A's any UPR's...and some drag launch springs.

Worked for me to cut 1.4's on Drag Radials...

              Here's a post I made on another site when I got back. '12 GT A6 with a KB 2.8LC:

Not as well as I would have hoped. I've got a few bugs to work out... mostly with the shifting. It's acting like it's hitting a rev-limiter on both the 1-2 shift as well as the 2-3 shift, but I don't think it's the actual rev limiter. Manny said he has the hard limiter at 7700, so I don't think it's that. Anyway, it feels like you hit the brakes when it hits the limiter and it's doing it on both shifts, so I'm sure I'm losing both some ET as well as MPH. I'll get the bugs worked out and hope for a better result next time. My best pass was:

              1.746 60'
              7.503 @ 96.05 1/8th
              11.5 @ 124.42 1/4

Best 60' was a 1.67 but it's still spinning a bit. I also found out this sucker is 3900# with me and a 1/2 tank! DAMN! That was with the spare removed and pretty much everything else as is.

I also want to figure out a way to get some of the heat out of the supercharger when at the track. Sitting still, I didn't have a way to really cool it off. Going to look into the Killer Chiller or maybe just a larger reservoir to put ice in or something. It never really cooled all the way off. I didn't have a lot of time, so I got in a total of 4 passes and was averaging about 30 minutes apart which wasn't much for cool down. So

In summary, my list of action for next time are:

1.) Get the shifts sorted out. I think there's probably AT LEAST .2 and 2mph associated with this!
2.) Consider going to a 15" DR. Not sure on this. It might be worth trying the 19's some more even if they are a little fickle.
3.) Consider some weight savings somewhere.
              4.) Look at cooling options.

Overall, a good first trip with lots of room for improvement!

Tune with what you have - adjustable shocks, tire pressure, clutch drop, launch rpm, and keep a "log book" of sorts.

Don't change a bunch of shit at once. You'll get there.

Im diggin the looks/price of Baselines suspension stuff, but I think the Street Launch "Ultimate Street/Strip Suspension Kit" with poly bushings & sway bar mount for $440 would be a better choice for a daily driver. (imo)

Which spring rate would work best for the front?

                        14-150 or 14-130.

                        Leaning towards the 150

Maybe for a pure track car, but yours is still gonna be a daily driver correct?

Maybe 100 miles a week or so.

                            Polys squeak and fall apart

I've never seen a poly bushing fall apart and my dad has a poly set on his Camaro that have been on there since the early 80's.

I have had Heim joints blow apart on me though.

i purposely leave my arb hooked up on my coupe all the time, i like the way it drives with it, and all my suspension is heim joint and it works great on the street.
