I ran Lakewood 90/10's with coilovers up front and 50/50's out back with Ford racing lowering springs with good luck. The 90/10's were a bit rough on the street but it didn't bother me much.

          How old are your tires?
          What LCA/Uppers?

Why not take it to Brooks and let him set the car up?

            Tires are new.

Stock arms, not much to set up with stock junk. Lol if I had adjustable stuff, then yeah I'd consider that.

on my 91 i ran the eibach drag setup with springs and airbags, 90/10's up front, with the 302 and t-5 i had to launch around 44-4600, any lower and it would bog up higher and it would blow off the tires, i ran 10-12psi on the m/t slicks. my best 60' was a 1.63 and it ran in the 7.40's to 7.60's on motor (hci) with 4.30 gears

Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

I can tell you this - in my experience, #5 (from loose) is too stiff for a car like yours. I'd bed your best results come from 1-3(from loose)

What rpm's are you shifting at? Sounded like some short shifts...

                      1-2 sounded short.

                        90/10's up front
Strange 10 ways rear set @ 3 with c/o's are good option.
                        I can fit 275/60's w/o rolling fender

Yeah 1-2 was short and I went into 3rd at around 6100.

3.73 gears, it bogged down to about 2800rpm

Drive it like you hate it.

Those 10 ways need to be around 2 or 3, as soon as it grabs you have to get off the clutch. You'll glaze the clutch slipping it to prevent spin and then promptly slamming 2nd. It can affect future runs since you'll push through the clutch at the top of 1st and interpret it as spinning.

Race cars, street cars, street/strip cars all have different meaning. Pick your choice.
