I need to add a little R12 to my 93 Lightning. I replaced all the O-Rings and orifice tube 3 years ago and it's still working to this day. I think it's a little low because at a traffic light it isn't cooling like it has the previous 2 years. Are shops still allowed to purchase and install R12? Can I purchase R12 without a license? I don't want Freeze 12, so R12 only.

Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

We used to buy it in 30's, then dropped down to 20# cylinders, when they got scarce we went to buying a few cans at a time. I might see 1-3 r-12 cars a season now. I've put freeze 12 in several the last couple years because of the cost savings, but you need a license to purchase it also.
