Does anyone know what it takes to adjust the "bands" in an automatic transmission for a 95 Camry with the 4 Cylinder? The transmission is intermittently slipping in between gear changes pretty badly. Or does anyone know what else I should look at for problems such as this? The car has actually stalled out (once going from drive to reverse, once just coming to a hard stop) from what seems to be a related issue. Or if anyone knows of a reasonable transmission shop in the North Dallas area I could have take a look at it, that would work as well.
If anything becomes over $200 worth of repair work, I'm just gonna take it to the city dump and drive it into the landfill. I've gotten my $2800 worth of driving out of this car. But its only got 120k miles and these things are supposed to last for like 300k+ miles but mine leaks oil from every crevice and now can't shift properly.
