Yeah I priced it out and the box with all the harness's is right around $2200. I like messing with LS1's and guys use the factory ECM and harness's and my way of justifying the price is

    factory and/or modified harness/ecm = $500
    boost controller = $750
    hptuners/efi live= $750

and your right up there with a Dominator. Of course those are just generic prices but its not far off. The auto tune feature of the Holley systems looks very promising too.

Also let me say Brooks is alot better person to listen to as he has expirience with the other systems and alot more MS expirience than I do. I messed with it on the Datsun, fought the idle due to the 160/lbs low imp injectors and then popped the motor on a logging run.

just wanted to add, it looks like MS has come a good ways since I messed with it. Still not sure if the MS3-pro is worth the money though but it looks like a nice, CHEAP alternative to a modern aftermarket EFI setup. Tunerstudio has come a good ways too and the auto-tune feature seems to be a big hit.

I would probably lean towards this route assuming it has everything you need.

Going over my input needs and the MS3-Pro is not gonna cut it without a Innovative datalog with CAN-Bus output. Add another $600ish.

Going through the Holley Dominator wiring harness in the manual and then downloading the software and playing with it has led me to believe that it is the best fit without a bunch of add ons. Now to figure out how to pay for it.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

www.stevemorrisengines.com ordered the Holley, Bigstuff 3 and FAST tuning DVDs.

Still leaning to the Holley. Anyone want to buy a full AEM? Will work in a fox with my harness that will go with it and every sensor since I am using Holley's stuff to make calibrations easier.

Looks like Matt Cramer from diyautotune just joined the board, I'm sure he will chime in on this

Could a 160 be tuned down though to run 93oct fuel requirements. Even on E85 fuel tables, 30% more than on 93oct, my 120s are only at 60% max effort. Without doing the math that would put max effort on 160s close to 45%.

Am I looking at it all wrong?

Yes, they could easily. Especially if they're HiZ injectors. The injector opening time is a lot faster, making it much easier to get a good clean idle and low speed cruise AFR.

The key is making sure you have the right voltage offset, and flow rates entered into the ECU so all of your other tuning efforts fall into place properly.

Thanks Brooks. I have already played enough with the software to find the injector voltage offsets easy enough. It really is an easy system to construct.

Looks like I am gonna have some time home this R&R in 19 days. I can get some work on the car done and start getting it ready for Holley.

Had any experience with bolting knock sensors to windsor blocks.

None, but it shouldn't be too hard. I'd consider glue/epoxying them into freeze plugs. I guess we'd need to investigate whether or not the glue would absorb too much of what the knock sensor is looking for.

Bolted to freeze plug with o-ring washer on the inside, nylon lock nut to keep from falling loose into cooling system and knock plug back in?

the new supercharged vette sensors bolt on to the heads (if theyre compatible with the system of choice)
