  • Vise advise

So I just got a house finally and I'm working on putting my garage together. Still need several things but I'm thinking my next purchase should be a good bench vise. I don't want to have to buy a new one in a couple years though cause I bought a piece of shit. So anyone got a good recommendation?

I hear good things about Wilton but don't know what I'm looking for really. I've got a $50 gift card to home depot but I have a feeling a lot of those are as much crap as they look like. Not sure how I feel about Yost.

I'm needing something that will hold up to the standard mechanical work as well as some periodic welding/ being used as a press.

Hit up craigslist and buy a used made in USA. I think all that homo depot sells is china junk.

didn't even think about estate sales good idea. I think you are right about home depot/ lowes and such just selling imported crap that's when I don't think I should get one from there
