ok here i go. i built a 302 new everything. it is a 93 block. has a b303 cam,air gap intake,600 summit carb. my issue is i have a small i mean small amount of oil that i guess is coming out of the rear main and from crank seals. i am not sure y this is. any ideas would be helpful. i do have the stock 93 valve covers on the motor could that just be causeing was to much pressure in the block? should i put a set of valve covers that have the hole for the breather? if i blow into the spout on the valves on it now i get a hissing noise. is this normal or what should i try to do?

I'm ignorant to the whole PCV topic also, but is it really that necessary? I know a stock motor has a PCV system but where does that system really relieve pressure? In the stock sys. it ventilates back into the throttle body so where is the actual relief? All the stock sys. is doing is moving the pressure around in a loop. Someone educate me(us) please.--carlos

It usually runs back into the manifold or carb which is pulling a vacuum. My jeep had just breathers on it and at highway speeds would dump oil out the rear seal. Set up a Pcv w check valve then back to the carb and walla not another drop of oilWhos your Daddy?
