  • Best exhaust for 32v mach 1 engine?

Just need some input on what you have heard and liked or what you may have. I know this has been brought up a lot in the past but mostly for fox and 2v sn 95's... My current setup is just a 32v out of an 03 Mach1, Jlt CAI, electric water pump and a tune and suspension mods. My current exhaust setup is a pypes offroad X and magnaflow mufflers with tips and factory exhaust manifolds. I want something a bit louder since this one is pretty quiet especially for having no cats and i'm sure that would be the magnaflow mufflers.

    heres my current setup

not much here just a quick start up and a few exhaust revs.join us at www.relentlessx.com a local car club community local to the DFW area.

Get you some borla stingers or slp loudmouth. Those are the two loudest I've seen.

Borla Stingers are not obnoxiously loud like the SLP. I have them on my cobra with the stock midpipe and it sounds perfect. With a catless midpipe it would probably be too loud for my tastes.

I had the stingers with a h pipe on my old 04 cobra and it was too loud for me.

I've got an Xpipe and the Flowmaster American Thunder catback on our Mach and it sounds awesome. We get compliments on it all the time.

I've had Loudmouth 1s on my Mach 1 since SLP first offered them and I think they're perfect. As a caveat to that however I do have an aftermarket catted H-pipe.

One of the loudest I heard was a dude that I used to see up at Denton. He had SLP longtubes, OR X and Loudmouth 1's on his Mach1.. WAY too loud for my taste though. I had an offroad prochamber and SLP LM1 on my 2V and loved the way it sounded, though it would have been nice to be able to turn down the volume when I wanted to creep.

I want some loudmouths for my Mach now that its not a daily. The Bassani o/r x and catback are still good though.

Crappy vid from a couple years ago when I put them on.

I'd be interested in your old mufflers if you're interested in selling them.

o/r h pipe + standard 40 series flowmasters, then go out and make some noise. and when you dump/turn them at the axle, it sounds even more aggressive inside the cab and does a great deal to eliminate drone. (at least it did in my case.)

Search my name on YouTube. I had bbk lt's, offroad prochamber and flowmasters. You knew I was rolling in.

I don't think there is a wrong answer. It comes down to what you like.

Personally, I loved the sound of my old long tubes, O/R Prochamber (way deep) and dumped Flowpaths. It had no rasp, deep tone and didn't sound like every other Mustang with Flows on it. I like flows...just wanted something different.

I think my current set up is pretty sick! Turbo quiets things down at low rpms, 3.5" down pipe, single 4" pipe (yes, it does fit under the car!) and exiting an 18" long 4" diameter glasspack from Full Boar dumped before the gas tank! My wife says she can hear me start the car, back out of the drive way and creap down the street from the shower, water on at the back of the house! LOL! Yes...I think my neighbors hate me! When you hit 3000rpm, you know it's time to Do Work! Yes, if you cruise above 2200rpm for long your ears may bleed, but that's why God gave us the 6 speed trany!

What kind of sound do you like? You want raspy, go X pipe. You want deep, go H-pipe or Prochamber. Then you can tune the sound with the muffler.

Shorty headers (if no blower plans) X pipe (no cats) Dynomax ultra flows. This is the set up I have on my car, while crusin in the lower RPMs or on the hwy this setup is quiet, but get on it and it sound like a FORD NASCAR coming around turn 1. I have long tubes now but I have a blower. Everyone always is asking me what kind of exhaust I have on my car, it sounds mean as hell.
