  • Steering shaft rubbing headers...

I have Mac EL shorties and the MM solid steering shaft. The shaft is rubbing the header a tiny bit. More annoying than anything else...

Motor mounts were replaced a year ago...

    Any other ideas?

Mark where the steering shaft is hitting the header, take header off, heat it up, and beat the header in some with a hammer to clear the shaft?

I have a small spacer under my engine mount on that side to give me clearance

I put a couple washers in between my collumn and dash mounting to move the end a bit to clear the 32v in the mont.
