  • Axle bearing help!

While putting my rear end back together on my jeep from doing a gear swap I was putting my passenger axle back in and noticed that a little ring was hanging loose on the shaft. After some research I see that it is from something between the backside of the bearing and the seal. I need to replace the bearing as it appears to have been originally connected there. Can anyone with the tools to get the bearing off and a new one on help me this weekend? I can bring the axle shaft to you asap.

Thanks and I really need some help as I have to have this back on the road by Mon

Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

I am in Midlothian myself and I just called up there and they had no clue. They have the bearing but do not seem to have any way to pull the old one off or put a new one on.

I cut them off with a die grinder and press the new one on with a block of wood and a hammer.

That tool works for axles without c-clips. Im pretty sure his has a bearing pressed on the axle and not in the housing like this.

Jyro saved the day and he was only 5 minutes away.

                    Thanks for the offer though.
