  • '93 Cobra Rims / Seller says OEM / Can you tell? How do you tell?

    Hey,
I'm dealing with a friend locally who has a set of "OEM" cobra's. How can one tell if they are OEM or not? Can any of you geniuses tell by these photos?

Even if not OEM, $400 for the set is a decent price, is it not? (Need new rubber, though.)

    Thanks,
    Brad

The back space is different on them if I remember correctly.

Won't they also have the ford logo and a part number cast into them somewhere?

Behind the centercap it will state the size, should be 17x7 or 17x7.5 on the oem 93. It should also have a ford logo casted too.

Also check the back of the spokes, on ponys there are marks I think.....

            Originals are only 7.5".

And yes 400$ for originals is a good price.

I believe its the rear only that had a different back spacing due to the disc brakes correct?

Front hub/rotor was different than standard 5.0 cars so front and rear wheels could match.

They do look a tad bit dark.

All 4 OEM wheels are the same. There is no difference from front to back.

They are also repainted if they are OEM wheels because that silver is pretty dark.
