Try a different filter. I use mobile one filters, they have fiberglass media instead of paper and filter much longer before they stop-up and the internal bypass opens. Most paper filters cause so much back pressure the bypass opens most of the time after 1000 miles.

marvel mystery oil is a good cleanout product also. I used it straight for breakin on racing dirt bikes transmissions also.Don't worry about what you can't change.
