EDIT: Well looks like there is something to this "coating". Seems the problem is the sleeves themselves are made out of a different type of metal that don't play well with forged aluminum. I didn't read the whole article but it mentioned the sleeves.

I never played with H series motors, a lot of B series and D series though, so I had never heard of that. Give wiseco a call and see what they say, I used a set of their pistons because they were the only ones that used an offset wrist pin and factory honda pistons run an offset wrist pin. I would see what they say, they make top notch pistons even though the motor builder I used cussed them for being "f'ing motorcycle pistons" lol.

If any of you guys know Watt (yall should) you'll know what I mean.

Yeah I agree. I got curious and there are several motors they did it on, most of them are not commonly modified so you wouldn't hear about it. Except for like big_tiger said, the S2000 did as well.

I also read Porsche uses FRM sleeves too. Weird shit.

Toda racing came ftmfw!!!! Rods and pistons and call it a day. If he is local there is a shop in Arlington called redline performance. He makes some the fastest Honda's around.
