How the hell did he tighten that oil filter that much and it not leak like a SOB? lol

Any filter I've had if overtightened even a little bit it leaks. All it takes is stop when it touches and go 1/2 or 3/4 turn past.

It's all back together. It seems to run decent, but I'm still not convinced that everything is good. I'm not liking the way it sounds, it could just be me, but it still doesn't sound quite right. No cel or anything, I may just be hyper sensitive now, who knows.

Thanks man. I'm going to drive it to OReilly in the morning to see if it's throwing any codes, if it's not I'll get it inspected and call it done. I think i have help on Sunday if need be.

That looks like the filter I pulled off of my brother's '99 Cobra...the motor mounts went bad causing the oil heater started hitting the k-member, which sprung a leak, and for the filter to be too far up against the K-mem to remove easily.
I went to do an oil change for 3 minutes, and ended up sitting underneath his car for an hour. Getting it back on was a whole different story, lol.

Not getting any codes with OReilly scanner, sitting at inspection station. It stalled once after I stopped and got gas on initial start up.

In a side note, my wheels are now centered in the wheel wells now after replacing the stock k member with a team z unit. So I have that going for me, which is nice. Getting it aligned today too.

Most likely your guides the 4.6 were common for this. My NPI did that and I thought my motor was about to throw a rod. After swapping a PI motor my buddy tore my old motor apart and found out it was the guides.

Maybe the Skoal Bandit was dipping in your garage?

just condensation and carbon, looks pretty normal to me, maybe a sign it's a little rich.

Looks like normal exhaust to me. Exhaust system soot + water vapor = that. Or is it oily?

PS, the best trick for getting a stubborn oil filter off is an old leather belt.
