I ultimately had to cut the filter at the base and use a pair of vise grips attached to the base and pry against those with a long screwdriver little by little. It was ridiculous. The filter barely resembles a filter anymore.

So are you expecting me to run that gauge all the time or just to check it? I mean am I going to have to by a gauge pod and whatever else too?
I've got a saleen clock pod I'll sail you.

Hey, you installed the guides backwards and then followed it up with (apparently) cranking an oil filter onto a new motor with an air chisel! Don't get all pissy with me for questioning your oil filter removal methods!

As for that oil pressure gauge, you can use it as a test port with a parts-store oil pressure gauge or install a permanent gauge and check it there if need be later on, either way you prefer.

Hey! They looked the same to me, besides I've never installed them before, I've changed my oil a few times. FWIW, Brent put the filter on. Don't think I'm not going to stab him in the neck the next time I see him.

I'd prefer to just use a gauge to test. At least for now.

You gotta realize Brent did that on purpose.

I can see him highly intoxicated and cranking it as hard as humanly possible with both hands while it's out of the car on an engine stand. And laughing. Laughing about today.

We were all stone sober during this install, surprisingly. The rest is probably fairly accurate.

That sucks... then he was able to REALLY get it tight.

I've had some bastard oil filters to remove but nothing quiet that bad yet. I swear some of the quick lubes must have a damn gorilla that installs them lol. I'm glad we don't target oil changes with our repair work.

No argument from me. It was stupid tight. The new one went on with a light coat on the seal, hope it works out better next time.

the factory oil sender is shown in the picture. The part that it screws into has a pipe plug at the base of it, you can also use this for your oil pressure test. The advantage I can see in using the one in the head is that it's the pressure at the upper end of the motor.

I swear it was just hand tight, however I did use UltraSieze instead of oil to coat the Oring

I had a factory FL400 on my daughters truck that was put on by king kong himself at Ford. It took me two hours and a trip to the auto parts store to get it off. I have a contact at Ford in Dearborn, I found my way to an engineers office and told him to suck my dick and hung up!

It just made me feel, well, better after that call.
