Threw a rod in a 2001 GT and looking for a replacement motor. Do they all fit/work from a mustang/vic/f-150 or do I need a specific one?

They are not all the same... There are Romeos and Windsors and both come in NPI and PI configurations. Your motor will be a PI motor but you will need to verify whether you have a Windsor versus a Romeo based on the valve cover bolt count.
Here is some good information: http://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l-...t-to-know.htmlLast edited by Fastlane; 04-05-2013, 09:21 AM.01 red GT - 745whp/780wtq Whippled 4V and built 4R75W

you have a romeo. the heads are a little different (the cam caps), different number of valve cover bolts, the front engine cover is different (i think) and the romeo has a 6 bolt crank vs 8 for the windsorOriginally posted by A_A_G View PostThrew a rod in a 2001 GT and looking for a replacement motor.
