Rearend narrowing

I've been researching the DIY narrowing procedures and although it seems relatively simple, I'd like to see what it would cost to take it to someone. I have an Explorer 8.8 and a spare short side axle that I need the DS tube narrowed to fit. Can anyone on here help me out?
