  • auto vs 5 speed?

Was have been thinking about one or the other. I have both. not sure witch one to put in the car. My car is currently an automatic. I have never had an automatic car was wondering what is the good and bad about an automatic over a 5 sped

I'm assuming this is either a daily driver, or strictly a street car? Just go with the 5 speed.

Ok that was the first thought. That's pretty much as straight up as it gets.

There becomes a point when power and duty exceeds the practicality of a standard transmission. If it is nothing more than a street car and 450 or less at the wheels I would say standard all day long. If the car hits the track on Friday nights and makes that, I would consider an automatic.

Mine makes 650 to the rear wheels and I run a 6spd in a car that may never see the lights of the drag strip and even the fun for me of shifting around town and wondering if the clutch is gonna go up in smoke this stab is wearing thin.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

X2. If it is gonna see a lot of track then auto. If it's a street car enjoy slamming gears
