His 02s weren't working very efficiently at lower rpms. This will cause the lean codes to be thrown. If they aren't hot enough they wont measure the air fuel correctly.

I was able to turn up the voltage to the front 02s to get them to work properly. Also I adjusted the amount of time the car waited before it looked at the 02s and transfers into closed loop, this allowed them to heat up more. Then I adjusted the maf curve at part throttle to get everything back in working order.

The data showed the MAF working well.

              The car actually was lean.

After I was finished it Idled well and the IAC motor showed hardly any learning. That shows signs against having a vacuum leak.

I may be way out in left field here, but what is sounds is that you tuned around the problem instead of actually addressing the issue. The O2 units were read lean as they should, but you altered the code going to them anyways?

And one of you say the MAF was the issue, and the other says it was working well, sounds like a bit of miss-communication.

Either way, I don't have a dog in this hunt, congrats on getting it worked out Cobraman.

You actually hit the nail on the goddamned head. Which we all new. Whatever-performance just said that they didn't fix anything. They just re-tuned the computer. IF and I fucking mean IF it will make you pass inspection, that's great. I don't think it will though. PM me if you need an inspection sticker.

122k Mile 02s tend to get a little weak. A way to get a little more life out of them is to have the computer put more voltage to them. This heats them up a little more and makes them work better. This is also an adjustment needed in a longtube application.

I threw a lot of info at Jeremy while I was working on it. Showing him the data and what it means and why I was changing things. It's possible I just confused him on a few things.

Everyone says it was a vacuum leak or a dirty MAF. I've seen plenty of dirty mafs in the past, and on the datalogger they will show inaccurate voltage readings. Sometimes even go backwards when in theory airflow is increasing. This was not the case and it all seemed to be in good working order.

After he gets tailpipes and possibly tires it will pass no problem
