Windshield Repair/Replacement?

I got a nice rock chip in my windshield along with quite a few small little specs here & there, where's a good place to get this fixed? Doesn't insurance cover this?

I got a buddy that works for winsheild place here in town. If you're close around this area might be able to do it for free or next to nothing.
