Starting this post for a member who is good friend. He has beed building this car up to run in the 7.0 class at the 1/8th mile tracks.

What are the spec rules for this class? Are Vettes allowed? The one I'm picking up soon should run very low 7s mostly stock, would be fun to mess around in the class with it.

Denton runs 7.0 class as well i think same rules but they allow transbrakes.

Man that sounds really fun. I wanted to try to run the 275 class with my GT but it's illegal. Will they tech for roll cages? I know NHRA changed the rule for stock cars but I won't be actually stock, it'll just look and sound it.

Along with a decent payout at Redline, they also give trophies to the winner and runner-up in the 7.0 class.

There is also a 7.30 race (on different weekends than the 7.0) that has a similar payout and rules, except they do allow trans brakes.

Do the 7.0 or 7.3 classes require rollbars/cages? I'd like to race my little stock c6 every once in a while, not putting a cage in a slow stock car to race An event 2-3 times a year... Curious if they g.a.f. Or not?
