engine hesitating after oil change

my uncle changed the oil in his cobra and now it's hesitating in acceleration. it had royal purple in it and he switched to a different fullsyn. anyone have any ideas? would the switch in compounds have that kind of effect on the engine?

i doubt it has anything to do with the oil thats in it.

Seriously though I doubt it had anything to do with it. The oil level or oil filter would be the 1st thing I would check followed by checking to make sure he didn't knock off any vacuum hoses or something like that.
